Dr Mark Bull has a PhD in sport and exercise science as well as being a fully qualified PGA coach. Mark’s area of interest is in human movement and why/how humans move the way they do and how it influences how they move within the golf swing and how we can help learn and improve our movement performance. Mark works with and supports over 500 PGA coaches and has worked with to date over 175 PGA/DP tour professionals, including 11 major champions.

The Performance & Competence Center offers competitive athletes state-of-the-art, year-round training facilities and brings together the expertise of numerous Austrian golfing institutions in one place.
The development of a central location for the further development of golf has been underway for many years, and the vision of this center in Oberwaltersdorf was developed for the first time as part of the Austrian bid for the 2022 Ryder Cup. The realization of this vision should form the foundation for numerous participations of Austrian players in Solheim & Ryder Cups.
The goal was to develop the most advanced indoor practice facility in Europe and to create a central hub for European golf. Through cooperation with national and international institutions, the Performance & Competence Center is to develop into an important hub for the education and training of players and teaching professionals.
The centralized provision of year-round training facilities and state-of-the-art analysis tools for competitive athletes offers unprecedented opportunities for training management and player development. Facilities from which players from all over Austria will benefit in order to develop the next stars of international golf.

Mark holds a PhD in Sport, exercise and rehabilitation science from Birmingham University and is also a full member of the British PGA.
Mark developed and designed Bull3D and is a pioneer in the world of human movement and golf swing performance allowing him to provide innovative sport science and biomechanical services to golf.
Mark’s main areas of interest and continued research are why players move and swing the way they do and what influences the players swing and performance, including areas such as anatomy, physiology, neurological learning and how areas such as our experiences, perceptions, concepts and beliefs have a significant influence on how we swing and perform. Therefore, this allows for a fully embracing approach to player development.
Mark presents at conferences globally in all areas around golf science, human movement and biomechanics and works with multiple leading PGA and European Tour players alongside many of the leading organisations in world golf (see client list page)
Mark runs the Bull3D online academy and provides education and mentoring to over 500 PGA coaches as well as multiple physiotherapists, chiropractors and strength coaches. In addition, Mark features as a guest speaker on many podcasts, guest webinars and other media formats including Skysports Golf.
