What types of positions can I advertise? ▼
You can advertise a wide range of positions within the golf industry, from club professionals and instructors to roles in management, sales, operations, turf care, marketing and more.
The JobZone is designed to cater to the needs of the workforce for our sport.
What can I do to create a really good job listing that will attract candidates? ▼
To create an effective job listing, provide a detailed job description that includes specific responsibilities, required qualifications, and desirable skills. Be clear about the benefits and growth opportunities the position offers.
Our experience with the JobZone tells us that the more information provided in a listing results in not only more candidates applying, but a higher quality of candidates.
Adding information about your company culture and values can also attract candidates who are a good fit for your team.
Finally, ensure the listing is well-organised and easy to read, with a compelling headline to draw attention.
How can I maximise the visibility of my job post? ▼
To maximise the visibility of your job post, ensure that the job title and description are clear and include relevant keywords that potential candidates might use in their search.
Each listing will have its own unique link that is shared back to you once published. This can be shared across your own networks, social media and any channel you like.
The CPG will share listings across its own channels too and you can share these on to further increase visibility.
What are the keys to creating a great job description? ▼
Creating a great job description is essential to attract the right candidates. Here are key elements to consider:
- Clear Job Title: Use a precise job title that reflects the role accurately. Avoid internal jargon that may not be understood outside your organisation.
- Detailed Responsibilities: List specific tasks and responsibilities the role entails. This helps candidates understand what will be expected of them daily.
- Required Skills and Qualifications: Clearly outline the necessary skills and qualifications, including education, certifications, and experience. Be specific to ensure you attract candidates who are truly qualified.
- Desirable Traits: Beyond mandatory skills, mention traits or additional skills that could benefit the role. These can help differentiate between good and great candidates.
- Company Overview: Provide a brief introduction to your company, highlighting its mission, culture, and any accolades. This helps potential applicants align their values with yours.
- Benefits and Compensation: Be transparent about the salary range, bonuses, benefits, and any other perks associated with the job. This transparency can increase the appeal of the position.
- Growth Opportunities: Mention career advancement or professional development opportunities available within the company.
- Candidates are often attracted to roles that offer a pathway for growth.
- Call to Action: End with a strong call to action, directing candidates how to apply and what the next steps will be.
By incorporating these elements, your job description will not only attract qualified candidates but also those who are a good fit for your company’s culture and values.
