Posted on: 21st Feb 2020

Overnight leader, Asaf Cohen (PGA of Israel), continued to stay out in front of the Professional field with another outstanding round at the 4th Messinia Pro-Am at Costa Navarino in Greece.

Starting the day at five-under par, Cohen seized his opportunities to make five birdies on The Dunes Course with just two bogeys for a three-under 68 and an eight under par total (134) for the tournament.

Still in second place is PGA of Italy Professional, Michele Reale, with a second round one-under par 70 at The Bay Course. Combined with a first round four-under total, this leaves him just three shots behind on five-under (137).

In third sit PGA of Switzerland Professional, Raphael de Sousa, and PGA of Luxembourg Professional, Alexander Vershaeren, each with their share coming after a combined three-under par total of 139 to remain well and truly in the mix.

The Team Pro-Am event concluded over 36 holes with winners revealed at the end of La Fiesta Prize Giving Ceremony, and the Teams will compete across two 18 hole Pro-Am competitions in the final round with teams.

Teams are split across The Dunes Course and The Bay Course based on their Professional’s individual score with the final available position on The Dunes Course decided by a three-way playoff between Martin Dewhurst (PGA of Austria), Nicolas Sulzer (PGA of Switzerland), and eventual winner after three holes, Emanuele Canonica (PGA of Italy).
