10 Shot Lead For Tadini at Messinia Pro-Am2 min read

Posted on: 22nd Feb 2019

The PGA of Italy’s Alessandro Tadini has extended his lead following Round 2 of the 2019 Messinia Pro-Am in sunny Costa Navarino in Greece.

Following an outstanding opening round of six-under par at The Dunes Course in Costa Navarino, Tadini showed no sign of slowing down, carding another six-under round (64) at The Bay Course, for a total score of -12 (129). This substantial total extends his lead to an incredible 10 shots over the rest of the field.

“It was another great round, I played really well from tee to green so I am really happy with my game today,” said Tadini.

“In the past I have struggled with my putting, and it has been a while since I produced two consecutive great rounds, so having such confidence this week – especially on the shorter putts – is a great feeling and a good sign not only for tomorrow but also for the rest of my season.”

Climbing the leaderboard today with 66 shots (-4), was last year’s runner up, Asaf Cohen (PGA of Israel), finishing his first two rounds at two-under par (139) in total, one shot ahead of Tomas Gouveia (PGA of Portugal) and Costa Navarino’s own Adam Kritikos (PGA of Greece) who share third place on one-under (140).

In the Team category, Team Elli, led by Federico Elli (PGA of Italy) with Daniele BovioBettina Schroder and Stuart Sutton, lead the pack with 166 stableford points (-22), two points ahead of Team Reiter, led by PGA of Austria Professional, Berni Reiter, along with Franz Pichler, Gottfried Traintinger and Johann Schygulla on 164 points (-20).

In third place, the PGA of Greece’s Christos Nikopoulos, together with his team of Maryna Kutkovska, Maksym Kutkovskyy and Costa Papadimitriou, closed their first two rounds with a total of 163 stableford points (-19).
