Postponed 8th AESGC International Pro-Am to Return in 20222 min read

The rescheduled 8th AESGC International Pro-Am will take place from 24-27 January 2022 and is now open for entries.

Teams of one Professional and three amateurs will compete over 72 holes for a €28,000 prize fund at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club in the UAE.

Golf Manager for Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, Gavin Chappell, commented: “We were disappointed to have to postpone the event for 2021 but we are excited to have plans in place and welcome teams and Professionals back for next year instead.

“The event will showcase the fantastic facilities we have here at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club and returning to the CPG Sanctioned Event calendar once again is an exciting prospect.”

CPG Chief Executive, Ian Randell, said: “It is fantastic news that the AESGC International Pro-Am will be returning in 2022 for its 8th edition.

“Despite sadly having to postpone the event for 2021 due to COVID-19, the AESGC International has signalled the start of the year for our event series for some years now and we are certain that the 2022 edition will be met with great excitement from the many PGA Members and their teams that return each year, as well as those looking to experience Al Ain for the first time.”

There is no Pro-Am package fee for each participating professional bringing a team of three amateurs and amateur packages start at AED 5,500 (approx €1,250) and include:

  • 6 night’s accommodation in the Al Ain Rotana, including breakfast and taxes, Saturday 22nd January through to Thursday 27th January (check out Friday 28th January)
  • Transport to and from the hotel for practice round and 4 tournament days
  • Complimentary use of all Academy facilities including the par 3 course throughout the event
  • Official practice round on Sunday 23rd and entry to the Pro – Am team event, Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th
  • Shared golf carts for practice and 4 competition rounds
  • Buffet lunch at the golf clubhouse on Sunday 23rd, Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th
  • Gala dinner and Awards Ceremony with drinks on Thursday 27th
  • €28,000 professional prize fund, prize fund will decrease pro-rata by €1,000 for each team less than 28 competing
  • Entry to the optional Par 3, Golf Tournament
  • Entry to the optional Shooting Tournament
  • Player Giveaways
