Past Champions Assemble for Passport To Pravets Encounter2 min read

Past UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe winners, Hugo Santos and Federico Elli, will both be making their return to Pravets Golf & Spa Resort in Bulgaria as they both look to increase their respective tally of wins whilst also taking home the winner’s purse of €10,000.

 The 2013 Championship was won by the PGA of Italy’s Federico Elli by six shots from his nearest rivals from Switzerland, Corsin Cavaziel (who will also make a return to try to land the championship at his second attempt) and Alec Roberts.

 Elli will be seeking to emulate the double-win of Portugal’s Hugo Santos who first carded a win in the tournament at its revival in 2011 and then successfully defended the following year in 2012.

 Elli’s Confederation of Professional Golf-tournament season has included a T-25^th place at the 2014 Golfbreaks.com Fourball Championship at LUMINE Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community, in Spain, followed up with a solid 8^th place at the 2014 Aegean Airlines Pro-Am at Costa Navarino in Greece.

 Santos also competed in the Fourball Championship sadly not making the cut but with record form at Pravets Golf Club and in the Championship, he will no doubt be chasing to make it a hat-trick of wins.
