Karatas & Elli Kick Off 9th BlackSeaRama Vivacom Pro-Am1 min read

Posted on: 13th Jul 2017

The PGA of Italy’s Federico Elli and PGA of Turkey’s Ulas Karatas are tied at the top of the leaderboard after Round 01 of the 9th BlackSeaRama Vivacom Pro-Am in Bulgaria.

The Pro-Am’s first stop was at the Ian Woosnam-designed Lighthouse Golf & Spa Resort where windy conditions made for tough scoring.

Elli and Karatas each carded two-under par 69s around the 6,159m course to hold the lead, but are only one shot ahead of Peter Gustafsson (PGA of Spain) who is coming off a recent win at the 2017 Aegean Airlines Pro-Am last month.

Savas Karatas (PGA of Turkey), Henrik Engdahl (PGA of Greece) and Pangiotis Karantzias (PGA of Greece) all share fourth position after level par 71s.

The Team Pro-Am is led by Panagiotis Karantzias (PGA of Greece) and his amateurs, Nikos Krokos, Anastasios Gkotsis and Christian Werner, along with Adam Sagar (PGA of Spain) and amateurs Konstantin Belov, Todor Chakov and Dimitar Georgiev. The Teams share the lead after each scoring 87 points (-15), two points ahead of the chasing teams behind.
