Federico Elli (PGA of Italy) laid yet more groundwork at the 9th BlackSeaRama Vivacom Pro-Am in Bulgaria, with an outstanding four-under par 68 around the notoriously challenging Thracian Cliffs Golf & Spa Resort.
The Italian’s second round play gives him a two-shot lead at six-under par (137) for the tournament and a buffer heading into the final round at the Gary Player-designed BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas.
Also making a charge is Peter Gustafsson (PGA of Spain) who carded a three-under 69 for a four-under total (139) and every chance of moving into the lead.
Overnight co-leader, Ulas Karatas (PGA of Turkey), didn’t manage to keep up the pace with a one-over 73 but is still very much in the mix and one-under (142) for the tournament with his Brother, Bulent Karatas (PGA of Turkey), just one further stroke behind on even par (143).
In the teams it was Adam Sagar (PGA of Spain) and his amateurs Konstantin Belov, Todor Chakov and Dimitar Georgiev, that kept their lead with 85 points (-13) in their second round for a two-round total of 172 (-28).
Joining them in first position is Gustafsson and his amateurs, Krasimir Balakov, Lubomir Tushev and Andon Tushev, after their 87 points (-15) – the highest points score of the day – moved them two places up the leaderboard with one round to play.
