Three Professionals share the lead in the 2019 Costa Daurada International Pro-Am after Round 01 at Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community, Spain.
PGA of France Members, Emilien Chamaulte and Anthony Grenier, and PGA of Spain Member and defending champion, Emilio Cuartero, each carded a four-under par 67 on the Lakes Course to take the early lead in the Pro-Am that makes up the first half of the 2019 Costa Daurada Golf Festival.
“It was a good round and a good score, but I didn’t really play very well,” said Cuartero. “It is the first tournament for me after pre-season, so I need to work on some things, but I am really happy about today. I think my chances are good for the week but I still have a lot of work to do.”
A further three Professionals then share tied-fourth position with two-under par 69s – PGA of Israel Professional, Asaf Cohen, PGA of Italy Professional, Andrea Maestroni, and PGA of Belgium Professional, Kevin Hesbois.
Grenier’s team also lead the Team Pro-Am event, after he and his amateurs, Stephane Desmares, David Labourguiere and Renaud Parenteau, totaled 86 points (-14) in their opening round.
But only one shot behind are the team led by Federico Maccario (PGA of Italy) with 85 points, followed by Lumine’s own Professional, Alan Livesey (PGA of GB&I), and his team, as well as Team Hesbois each on 82 points (-10).
