Posted on: 15th Apr 2013

Braemar Golf is proud to have secured the services of highly acclaimed teaching professional Jonathan Shipstone, as Head Teaching Professional at Pravets Golf Club in Bulgaria.

Jonathan, who hails from the United Kingdom, specialises in beginner and junior golf coaching. He will put his skills to the test in developing the game at grassroots level through local school programmes, with a view to identifying potential talent and growing the game in Bulgaria. Recently Jonathan has been working for JOLF Ltd., training coaches throughout the UK to deliver an innovative coaching program designed for children.

Jonathan turned professional in 2004 and in 2009 became the first ever PGA graduate to win the PGA Titleist Trainee of the Year Award in each of the three years of the UK PGA training programme.

“I am excited about the prospect of working at Pravets. Their Golf Academy is an exceptional facility and the market there really focuses on new golfers and juniors, which is where my specialty lies” said Jonathan on his appointment.

Braemar Golf’s Director of Golf Alan Rogut added “We are excited to have a PGA golf professional with the experience of Jonathan coming on board at Pravets Golf Club. With his proven track record of coaching all ages and levels of golfers, I am confident that he will perfectly complement the fantastic teaching facilities on offer at Pravets Golf Academy.’’
