Bolognesi & Piredda Make Their Move in Tuscany1 min read

Posted on: 4th Oct 2016

Stormy weather overnight did nothing to dampen spirits at Argentario Golf Resort & Spa in Italy for Round 02 of the Tuscany Golf Pro-Am, as the leading pairs jostled for position on the leaderboard.

Overnight leaders Rodiles and Adriana got off to a shaky start dropping three points in their opening three holes, however they steadied the ship and rallied to finish the outward nine with 18 points.

Their back nine was steady, with seven pars and two birdies which gave them a two-under par total for the round.

Making up the final fourball of the day was the PGA of Italy’s Andrea Bolognesi with amateur Gianluca Piredda.

The pair shot out of the starting blocks making their way through the first four holes in four-under. Two further birdies to close their front nine saw a six-point swing from tied second into the outright lead.

Bolognesi and Piredda negotiated the back nine with a solitary bogey, balanced out by a birdie and a nett eagle, which saw the pair sign for an eight-under 44 points and the outright lead.

With just three points separating the top four groups it looks set to be an exciting climax to the inaugural Pro-Am.
