#8thAESGC International Pro-Am postponed to 20221 min read

Posted on: 21st Oct 2020

The #8thAESGCProAm International Pro-Am, a mainstay on The CPG Championships and Events Schedule, is to be postponed a year to early 2022.

Despite best efforts from both The CPG and Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club [AESGC] to continue with the announced January 2021 dates, it was deemed that the situation surrounding COVID-19 and the resultant travel restrictions that this has created was untenable.

Golf Manager for AESGC, Gavin Chappell, said: “We have taken the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 event due to the current situation we are finding ourselves in. We have been overwhelmed by the response from teams, showing an interest to come and play, and so moving the event to 2022 will allow us to offer everyone the opportunity for a far greater experience.

“I wish everyone all the best for the remainder of this year and 2021 and everyone at the AESGC looks forward to welcoming the players back in January 2022.”

CPG Communications and Event Manager, Tom Bentley, commented: “Whilst we are disappointed that we cannot stage the event in 2021, this decision will allow a bigger and better return of the 8th AESGC International Pro-Am in 2022, and provide teams with greater certainty and clarity to travel and enjoy the amazing hospitality provided by the event”.

Further details of the 2022 dates, alongside packages, event information and entries will be circulated early in 2021. All questions should be forwarded to Tom Bentley at tb@cpg.golf.
