The book’s release coincides with the tenth anniversary of Seve’s death and opens with a moving letter written by eldest son Javier. Each chapter begins with an essay by renowned golf writer Robert Green while David, who was a great friend of Seve’s, reveals the background to some of his favourite images of the most flamboyant golfer the world has ever seen.
Supported by the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, this book is a wonderful tribute to one of golf’s most captivating characters and will appeal to golf fans of all ages and nationalities. Seve’s commitment to the PGA of Spain, and European golf more generally, is legendary and his fellow pros owe a huge debt to him and the pioneering and passionate work he carried out to build the game of golf in Europe. As Lee Westwood said: “Seve made European golf what it is today.”
