The PGA of Greece become the Confederation of Professional Golf International Team Shield winners for the second time in a row at Costa Navarino in Greece.
The International Team Shield, a secondary tournament within the Championship for those PGAs with a membership of less than 100 Professionals, was successfully defended this year by the home team with a 10-over par total of (578).
PGA Professionals, Adam Kritikos (Captain) [pictured centre], Chryssanthos Diakou [left], Panayiotis Karantzias [right], competed alongside Croatia, Iceland, Poland and Slovenia, for the Team Shield, but were also able to secure a 10th place finish in the overall Championship itself.
“We are a small Association but it seems we have some pretty good players,” said Kritikos. “Defending our title is a real achievement for us and we all feel very happy to retain at home again.
“We are a developing golfing country so to be able to achieve something like this and create some awareness to inspire others is a great honour and hopefully we can get better and better over the years.”
