The 2016 UniCredit PGA Professional Championship of Europe week has got underway with the largest Pro-Am in the event’s history.

28 Teams from inside and outside of Bulgaria came together for the two-day Pro-Am, competing for the UniCredit Pro-Am title, each playing with two different PGA Professionals from the Championship.

A solid first day with PGA in Wales Professional, Stuart Runcie, amateurs Hranislav Kodzahristov, Nikolay Andreev, and Rado Rashev, gave the team a solid opening of 81 points (-9) and a top-10 position on the leaderboard.

Day two saw them team up with the PGA in Scotland’s Graeme Brown who helped them to 91 points (-19) for a total of 172 points (-28).

The amateur team of Yuli Velichkov, Stefani Skokanska and Rayan Staykov, finished with 169 points (-25) in second place, and Georgi Demirev, Kosta Sinapov and Galin Gantchev finshed in third on count-back with 168 points (-24).
