AEGEAN MESSINIA PRO-AM 2024
COSTA NAVARINO, GREECE
20 – 24 November 2024
Manuel Morugan has been crowned Aegean Messinia Pro-Am 2024 professional champion alongside team winners, Team Nikopoulos after 3 fantastic days of competition at Costa Navarino.
One of the world’s leading Pro-Ams, part of the CPG International Series, featured rounds across The Dunes Course, The Hills Course and International Olympic Academy Course – all of which are world renowned in their own right.
The Spaniard carded a three-round total of even par (215) taking the Professional individual title and securing his International Series Grand Finale invite for the 24/25 season.
“Well, I feel amazing, obviously…it’s my first time at Costa Navarino and the conditions are absolutely amazing across the three courses” said Morugan.
“Everything is organised and everything is so nice that it surprised me. It’s the best Pro-Am I ever played, by far.”
PGA of Italy and Legends Tour professional, Emanuele Canonica, narrowly missed out finishing one shot behind at one-over par, with Wales’ Sion Bebb and the PGA of Israel’s Asaf Cohen sharing third on two-over.
The team led by the PGA of Greece’s Christos Nikopoulos with team members, Aris Vovos, John Benetatos and Sotiris Syrigos [pictured above], stormed to victory with a 10-point lead at 262 points.
Second place fell to the team of Panagiotis Samakovlis (PGA of Greece), Jean Paul Voisin, Vaso Papadopoulou and Panos Pantazopoulos on 252 points, with the Greek top-three completed after a countback by Christos Pantazidis, Claude Idoux, Marie Laure Idoux and Aris Georgiopoulos with 250 points.
