PGA Poland, a Golf Instructor Association, is a members’ organization for golf instructors, golf coaches and golf professionals. The PGA Poland ‘s mission is to promote golf, implementing the highest standards in education, raising the level of competitive and represent ethical values resulting from the tradition and history of golf.

The main objective of PGA Poland is the broadly understood education of PGA members, organization of trainings and coaching sessions as well as international tournaments for members. The PGA mission is also to promote golf, in cooperation with the Polish Golf Union.

PGA Poland was founded in 1993 by Pierre Karstrom, Jacek A. Gazecki and Ryszard Gacke. Pierre Karstrom was the organization’s first President in 1993-1995, while the following terms of office were served by Edwin Myszk (1995-2003) and Marek Podstolski (2003-2012). Jarosław Sroka is the current PGA Poland president.

In 1999-2001 the first professional tour was organized under the name A-Z Medica Tour. In the course of the following years, the tour sponsors were changing (Audi, Armada, Deutsche Bank) and the tournaments were becoming more and more popular. Today, the tour is organized under the name PGA Pro Tour.

In 2007, as a result of the implemented training programme (created by Mike O’Brien – the only polish player awarded Five Star Professional title) the first Polish professionals completed their 3 year training and were granted the titles of Quailfied PGA Professionals.

In October 2010 the Confederation of Professional Golf, formed by 32 country organizations with 12 thousand members all over the continent, has given PGA Poland the status of Fully Approved Member Country PGA of the Confederation of Professional Golf.
