The PGA of Finland was founded in 1985 and is a Member Country of the Confederation of Professional Golf. The PGA’s membership consists mainly of golf teachers and coaches, as well as professional players.

The objective of the PGA is to monitor the interests of its members and to develop professional golf-related domestic and international activities. To realise this the association:

  • Aims to pursue professional education, information and training activities
  • Seeks to cooperate with other countries with similar organisations
  • Aims to cooperate with Finnish Golf Association and other Finnish organisations in the sport
  • Arranges golf competitions and other golf events
  • Promotes cooperation between members with an interest in the sport of golf
  • Develops and strengthens the association of general international participation, particularly for European cooperation, with attention focused primarily on education and competition
