Description: Sports science and research is an ever increasing resource that coaches are relying on to support and inform their work. In this webinar Simon Jenkins will explore how coaches can effectively use scientific research, published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, to underpin their coaching principles.

By studying two types of journal articles: original research (e.g., full report of an experiment) and research reviews (i.e., overviews of previously published research) Simon will guide attendees through the process of accessing and using research to better understand and inform your work. He will exemplify this process with reference to journal articles in the area of ‘focus of attention’.

This webinar will introduce attendees to the importance of critical thinking, resulting in developing robust principals and coaching systems.
