“Focusing on the needs of junior golfers and utilising the technology of our adult product lines, we’ve advanced the performance of the new Prodi G family to deliver more distance while launching the ball higher to help ensure juniors experience consistently good shots and have fun on the course,” said John K. To help parents find the ideal combination of clubs for their junior golfers, PING’s Fitting Science team developed WebFit Junior, a web app that recommends club specifications and set makeup based on the answers to a few questions about the player. The process takes less than two minutes to complete. The junior golfer’s skill level, age, height, wrist-to-floor and average driver distance are factored into the recommendations. Among the outputs from the data is a gapping-analysis feature that allows users to experiment with the set makeup by adding or removing clubs to see the effect on distance gaps.

“WebFit Junior is an amazing app and full of very useful features, whether the junior golfer is just getting started or is already advancing as a competitive player,” said Solheim. “It’s consistent with our commitment to providing golfers of all ages and abilities with the latest fitting technologies to help lower their scores. The gapping-analysis tool is great for parents looking to optimise a set for their young golfers. It gives them the ability to experiment with different options as they determine the best set makeup for their junior. The app also includes a Yardage Report, a printable resource detailing approximate distances by club for use on the course to help in club selection.”

The company also announced the continuation of its popular “Get Golf Growing” programme, an industry-first junior golf equipment initiative that offers custom-fit and custom-built junior clubs that include a one-time, no-cost adjustment to sets of five clubs or more. The programme helps address an all-too-common occurrence that results in a lot of junior golfers playing clubs not suited to their games.

A Model To Fit Every Golfer

Golfers can choose from high-MOI blades, mid-mallets and mallets differentiated by face technology, alignment aids and finish. Traditional blades include the Anser 2, a major-winning model originally designed by PING founder Karsten Solheim, and the tour-influenced Anser D. The B60, another of Karsten’s major-winning designs that was introduced in 1979, returns to the PING lineup with a precision-milled face. The Tyne H, combining the original Tyne with an Anser hosel, and the popular Fetch (complete with its “gimme” ball-pickup feature) fit in the mallet category along with the Ketsch G, an easy-to-align, multi-material model engineered for maximum forgiveness. Fit For Feel

From firm milled faces to soft-feeling inserts, the face technology is engineered based on feedback from our tour staff to match a variety of feel preferences and deliver control and consistency on putts of every length. In the six new additions to the line, four models (Anser 2, Anser D, B60, Tyne H) feature the firm feel of a shallowed milled face and two (Fetch, Ketsch G) provide the soft feel of a PEBAX insert.

Aligned For Success

The new putters offer different alignment solutions to fit the eye of a variety of golfers, including single alignment cues or multiple lines to improve accuracy and inspire confidence. The use of a glare-diffusing raw blast finish in four models and black PVD in the other two provides enhanced contrast to assist in alignment and create a premium appearance. For golfers who prefer the influence of the darker look with white sight lines, the Ketsch G and Tyne H will best fit their eye. Anser 2: Like the timeless Anser, heel-toe weighting provides stability and forgiveness though in a slightly longer and narrower profile. Anser D: Tour pros were consulted in creating this model with a deeper (“D”) profile as a hybrid between the Anser blade and a mallet design, the extra mass is useful in stabilising the stroke for maximum forgiveness. B60: The B60, a long-time PING fan favorite, is back with a shallow milled face that ensures a firmer response and consistent roll. Golfers are familiar with the thin top rail with rounded ballasts, contoured shaping and center alignment line in this balanced, forgiving model. Also new is the glare-diffusing raw blast finish.

Tyne H: The twin-fork design is paired with an Anser hosel to provide multiple alignment cues and help square the putter at impact. Higher Launch, More Distance

Maximising ball speed was the primary objective in the design of the G730 iron, helping ensure shots that launch higher and fly farther for golfers who struggle with consistent face contact.

By unlocking the exceptional strength properties of hyper 17-4 stainless steel through an advanced heat treatment, our engineers thinned the larger face to increase flexing and help lower the centre of gravity, leading to significant ball-speed gains and several more yards of distance with every iron in the set. The larger face expands the hitting surface, preserving ball speed and ensuring forgiveness on mishits. The PurFlex cavity badge, with multiple flex zones, helps control face bending while enhancing feel and producing a powerful sound.

Forgiveness, Consistency

The larger head and wider sole in the investment-cast design increases the MOI in both axes, and a lower centre of gravity elevates forgiveness for improved accuracy and consistency. The performance-enhancing hydropearl chrome 2.0 finish helps ensure consistent launch results from varying conditions.

Custom-Engineered Lofts

With an eye toward increasing distance but also optimising gaps to best fit the golfer, the standard lofts are custom engineered to ensure set configurations that maximise performance throughout the bag. The four wedges in the set feature machined faces and grooves for added control. The option of power (stronger) and retro (weaker) spec lofts allows fitters to further optimise performance.

“The importance of gapping and getting the correct set makeup is a concept I’d encourage golfers to pay more attention to,” said Solheim. “The more data we analyse through our Arccos partnership, the stronger the case becomes that properly gapped sets play a big part in a golfer’s performance. Distance gains come from multiple sources, including an internal weight pad that provides a deeper and thinner face-to-sole transition, ensuring more face flexing and pushing mass down to lower the centre of gravity for more ball speed. The forged, highly flexible maraging steel C300 face is precisely welded to a 17-4 stainless steel hollow body. A polymer applied inside the head on the back of the face improves feel and sound while maximising face bending.

Tour-Inspired Design Fits All Golfers

Extensive testing with PING tour players helped create a wedge series that will appeal to golfers of all abilities. The 8620 carbon steel head is cast to an eye-pleasing shape with a straighter lead edge, a design feature especially beneficial on full shots. An elastomer insert behind the face contributes to the soft and responsive feel. At address, the compact head features an improved hosel transition with constant offset that blends seamlessly into the new Blueprint S and T irons. The s159 wedges are available in two performance-enhancing finishes in all 25 loft/grind combinations. Golfers can choose PING’s proven Hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish or Midnight, a new darker option that provides an attractive, anti-glare appearance.

More Consistency and Control

Wheel-cut grooves are precision-milled to help ensure consistency while minimizing the variations in spin in various conditions, leading to more control. The 54-to-62-degree options feature more tightly spaced MicroMax grooves. The 46-to-52-degree wedges are milled for greater control on full shots. In combination with a friction-adding face blast, the s159 wedges deliver the launch and spin control to execute score-lowering wedge shots from every distance.

From a spin comparison standpoint, the s159 wedges deliver strong results in the company’s much acclaimed “wet to dry” test. Performed in a controlled environment hitting 50-yard shots indoors with moisture applied to the face and ball, it’s a key factor in validating on-course performance.

“Our R&D team has gained a lot of notoriety for this test, which has revealed remarkable performance results when applied to our last several wedge models,” Solheim said. “A lot of fitters refer to it as the ‘spray-bottle test.’ The s159 consistently leads in the wet testing, out-performing other wedges. Considering it’s rare when a shot doesn’t encounter some level of moisture or loss of friction, this type of control provides a clear and convincing short-game advantage.”

Easy-to-use, Educational Web-based App Helps Fit Golfers

The WebFit Wedge app provides golfers a quick and easy way to determine the wedge grind that best fits their game. Golfers answer a series of questions about their short game, including their typical playing conditions and technique, which results in two grind suggestions. They can then take those recommendations to a fitter who can help validate them and further fine-tune the specs of the wedge. The app, which takes just a few minutes to complete, also provides gapping information to help the player build out their wedge set.

“It’s no secret shopping for wedges can be confusing as golfers try to understand all the nuances of a wedge’s design and what’s best for them,” said Solheim. “With our new WebFit Wedge app, our goal is to simplify the process of finding a wedge that fits the golfer while also educating them why a particular grind is best for them. It was developed in-house by our data scientists and relies on our massive collection of wedge data, much of it mined from our relationship with Arccos, to make very precise recommendations.”

The compact shape fits the discerning eye with a thin top line and minimal offset. The forged 8620 carbon steel head boasts a clean cavity design, distinguished by an eye-catching textured pattern and hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish. An elastomer insert is concealed in the pocket of the irons ensuring the solid feel and sound expected in a forged players iron. A high-density toe screw and shaft tip weight allow for swingweight fine-tuning.

“The Blueprint S is going to be a pleasant surprise for a lot of golfers who might not think they are good enough to play them,” Solheim said. “Its design speaks to the lower handicap, but its technology broadens its appeal to the player who is looking for a forged, blade-style iron that’s a little easier to hit but still delivers the look and feel expected in a blade.”

An Industry First

A patented construction technology called “Precision Pocket Forging” in the Blueprint S allows for a pocket to be forged into the cavity of the 3, 4 and 5 irons. The pocket saves 10 grams of weight, which is re-allocated to increase the MOI and optimise the centre of gravity position for more distance and trajectory control.

“The ability to design a pocket into a forged iron in this way is an industry first,” said Solheim. “It’s a brilliant collaboration between PING engineers and our supplier who thankfully accepted the challenge, and we developed a solution to a never-before solved problem. Until now, this level of long-iron forgiveness and the forging process have been mutually exclusive. We’re excited to bring this score-lowering technology to golfers.”

Blueprint T Overview

For the highly skilled golfer who relies on workability and prefers the size and look of a muscle back, the Blueprint T is engineered as a single-piece, 8620 carbon steel forging that puts a premium on trajectory control and superb feel. Its muscle-back design concentrates mass through the impact zone to ensure a pleasing sound and feel with the workability to take on any shot.

A shorter heel-face height allows the hosel transition to blend smoothly into the top rail, creating a clean, distraction-free appearance at address. The narrow soles enable consistent turf interaction from all conditions. Precision-milled grooves ensure the preferred launch and spin for players who rely on pinpoint control. A high-density toe screw and tip weight provide precise swingweight control and a slight boost in MOI.

“Traditionally, an iron like the Blueprint T relies as much on the skill level of the player as it does on the technology,” Solheim said. “We understand that, but we’re always looking for ways to improve every iron we design. The G430 MAX 10K driver is available for custom fittings and pre-order at authorised PING golf shops around the world beginning today.

Combined MOI exceeds 10,000 g-cm²

The fixed tungsten backweight in the multi-material 460cc head contributes to the record-setting MOI as it drives mass down and back to increase forgiveness and optimise the centre of gravity position, lowering spin and ensuring ball-speed preservation across the clubface for added distance. The heavier backweight (28g) is in part achieved by weight savings of 5g from the Carbonfly Wrap crown (13g installed) to create a powerful combination of accuracy and distance to meet the performance needs of all golfers.

PING’s biggest head profile to date maximises the USGA-allowable heel-toe and front-back dimensions to extend the perimeter weighting, adding to the forgiveness while staying within the 460cc volume limit. The larger, confidence-inspiring head helps square the golfer to the target and produces a less muted and slightly louder sound than the G430 MAX to give golfers a sense of even more powerful, satisfying tee shots.

Thinner, forgiving face design

PING engineers advanced the face technology of the G430 driver family by thinning the forged T9S+ titanium face of the G430 MAX 10K. The shallow face height and variable face thickness (VFT) are optimised for more flexing to ensure faster ball speeds. Spinsistency, a variable face curvature innovation, delivers consistent spin across the entire face, helping preserve ball speed on mis-hits for more distance and accuracy.

G430 MAX 10K HL (High Launch)

The lighter overall weight of the G430 MAX 10K HL driver offers all the technology and performance of the standard version, including the record-setting MOI, for slower-swing-speed golfers who don’t generate sufficient clubhead speed and ball velocity from traditionally weighted clubs. Custom engineered and custom built at 46” with a lighter backweight (19g), ultra-light shafts (PING Alta Quick 35/45) and grip (Lamkin UTx Lite, 41g), the result is a lower overall system weight so golfers can swing faster and generate more ball speed for higher-launching, longer-carrying and straighter tee shots. The company has recently announced a collaboration with Cactus, a bespoke energy design service, that assisted with the installation of this exciting new project. The 25-year-old, from Northern Spain, was born without much of his right leg and no knee but has been an avid golfer since the age of 12 and has since gone on to become one of the most recognised faces within the European Disabled Golf Association.

Postigo has already seen success since the start of his professional career, with a win at the 2021 Madrid Disabled Open and the 2021 European Championship for Golfers with Disability – for the third consecutive time. Earlier this year, Postigo also claimed his maiden victory on the G4D Tour at the Hero Cup in Abu Dhabi, securing a two-stroke victory.

The new custom-fit, custom-built G430 family consists of three driver models (MAX, LST, SFT), two fairway-wood designs (MAX, SFT) in multiple lofts, six hybrid choices and an iron set (4-9, PW, 45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°). For slower-swing-speed golfers, all of the clubs except the LST driver can be custom built with lighter head weights, the ultralight PING ALTA Quick shaft and a lighter grip as part of the G430 HL (High Launch) option.

G430 Drivers

In the new drivers, PING’s engineering team developed several new technologies common to all three models while applying specific advancements to each individual head, producing measurable ball-speed gains while improving sound throughout the series. The added ball speed is attributed to a shallower and thinner VFT forged face design engineered with Spinsistency, a variable roll radius technology proven on the G425 fairway woods and hybrids. The improved and pleasing sound is the result of fine-tuning the frequencies of the head through a new internal rib structure.

The MAX is Still The MAX

The MAX (460cc) remains the most forgiving and fits the widest range of golfers. A 25-gram, high-density tungsten moveable backweight influences shot shape ±8 yards between the Draw, Neutral and Fade settings. Available in 9°, 10.5° and 12° lofts. Loft is adjustable ±1.5° and lie up to 3° flat from standard using the 8-setting Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel.

“The MAX is the workhorse,” Solheim said. “It fits every skill level, from tour players to higher handicaps. The increases in ball speed are remarkable and the sound is creating a very favorable conversation. When you combine those advancements with its industry-leading forgiveness, the MAX will win a lot of battles in comparison testing in the fitting environment.”

Introducing The LST With Carbonfly Wrap Technology

Exclusive to the LST (Low Spin Technology) driver is Carbonfly Wrap, a lightweight composite that covers the crown and wraps into the heel/toe sections of the skirt to save weight and lower the CG for more ball speed, less spin and higher MOI. The 8-layer, one-piece composite saves four grams and weighs 11.5g fully installed. A moveable 22-gram, high-density tungsten backweight influences shot shape ±7 yards between the Draw, Neutral and Fade settings. At 440cc, the smaller tour-style LST is available in 9° and 10.5° lofts (adjustable ±1.5° and lie up to 3° flat from standard) and best fits faster swing speeds.

“With recent manufacturing advancements and the smaller head size of the G430 LST, the time is right to bring this technology to golfers,” said Solheim. “It’s quickly becoming the favorite of our tour players, who are enjoying the ball-speed gains while raving about the look, feel and sound.”

Adjustable Backweight in SFT

New to the SFT (Straight Flight Technology) head (460cc) is a two-setting, moveable tungsten backweight (22g) that positions the CG to deliver 13 yards of right-to-left shot bend in the Draw setting and another 7 yards in the Draw+ (20 yards total). Available in 10.5° loft (adjustable ±1.5° and lie up to 3° flat from standard).

“Our SFT technology reinforces our commitment to custom fitting,” Solheim said. “It’s a tremendous option for golfers who consistently slice the ball. The reality is more golfers could benefit from this type of technology, so we’ve added the two-setting backweight to allow for further adjustments in shot bend as necessary.”

G430 Irons

The multi-material iron produces distance gains of approximately 7 to 10 yards and improved accuracy throughout the set. Our longest iron ever is the result of a complex design that combines a lower CG with stronger, custom- engineered lofts and a thinner face that delivers up to 2 more mph of ball speed – leading to significant distance gains without compromising PING’s famous forgiveness.

A key contributor to the added distance is the PurFlex cavity badge, an innovation with seven flex zones that allow more free bending to increase ball speed across the face. In combination with a lower CG, the badge contributes to the solid feel and pleasing impact sound. The stronger lofts across the set resulted in the addition of a 41° PW to ensure proper gapping options and allowed for standard lofts in the traditional scoring wedges (45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°).

“Our ability to make this iron so much longer while maintaining all the other important attributes golfers need from their irons like forgiveness, stopping power and gapping alternatives is one of the most impressive engineering stories throughout the entire G430 line,” said Solheim. “We know golfers want more distance from their irons but distance without control doesn’t lead to lower scores. That’s why we put so much emphasis on designing an iron that not only goes a very long way, but it flies higher, straighter and lands softer.”

Among the refinements to the overall shape is a shorter hosel, which creates a more compact, clean look and helps lower the CG, aligning it closer to the force line to increase ball speed and ensure solid impact, especially low on the face. Approximately 1° of additional bounce throughout the set provides clean turf interaction and pure strikes, minimizing “heavy” shots that come up short. The high-density tungsten toe and shaft tip weights contribute to its high MOI and produce tighter dispersion patterns. The hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish delivers consistent performance from wet or dry grass.

G430 Fairway Woods

In all of the G430 fairway woods, we’ve developed Carbonfly Wrap to deliver more distance by positioning the CG closer to the force line to maximize ball speed, resulting in higher, longer carries, whether fit for the MAX or SFT model. The lightweight composite crown wraps into the heel and toe sections of the skirt, creating weight savings of 10 grams, which are reallocated to achieve the lower CG and increase ball speed. The composite also plays a role in the pleasing sound. A tungsten backweight extends the perimeter weighting to ensure forgiveness.

Two proven technologies from the previous generation carry over and contribute to distance gains and spin consistency across the clubface. With Facewrap technology, a variable-thickness, high-strength maraging-steel face wraps into the sole and crown of the stainless-steel head, generating more flexing for faster ball speed and higher launch for greater distance. The variable roll radius of Spinsistency improves performance across the face (especially on thin shots) by reducing spin to increase ball speed from the maraging-steel face.

Each of the models is engineered to help produce added distance and forgiveness for a variety of skill levels. The MAX fits the widest range of golfers with four options, while the slightly larger head size of the SFT is offered in three lofts with lighter swingweights to help square the face at impact. Trajectory Tuning 2.0 provides eight hosel positions, adjusting for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.).

The new G430 hybrids are loaded with innovations like Carbonfly Wrap, our newest technology and the key to more distance and green-holding stopping power. Alongside proven technologies Facewrap technology and Spinsistency, they deliver the speed and performance golfers need to take on any approach shot. The Carbonfly Wrap saves eight grams of weight (compared to a steel crown) that is allocated to lower the CG for increasing ball speed while providing a pleasing sound. Using Facewrap technology, the thin, high-strength maraging-steel face wraps into the sole and crown of the stainless-steel body to increase flexing, contributing to the higher ball speeds. Spinsistency’s variable roll radius creates less loft low on the face to improve performance on thin shots by reducing spin and increasing ball speed for added distance. A tungsten backweight extends the perimeter weighting to ensure forgiveness.

i230: A Players Iron Everyone Can Play

Advancements to the activated elastomer technology in the i230 iron allowed PING engineers to save significant weight, which is re-allocated within the clubhead to position the centre of gravity (CG) low for more distance and control while increasing the moment of inertia (MOI) for added forgiveness. The low CG combines with greater face bending to deliver more higher ball speeds. The elastomer reinforces the face, providing more consistent bending and energy transfer across the entire face, resulting in approximately three more yards of distance in player testing. Its higher MOI is largely due to tungsten toe and tip weights, which help make it the most forgiving “i” iron to date.

“The i230 iron sits in the middle of our iron offerings, so it requires us to balance a variety of performance attributes,” Solheim said. “It needs the precision and solid feel of a players iron while offering the forgiveness a lot of golfers expect from a PING iron. We also want to provide more distance in a way that is predictable and repeatable to ensure it meets the precise gapping needs of the best players in the world. I’m excited to report our research and early tour feedback confirms we’ve achieved all that and more. It has a little bit of everything to deliver a lot of performance.”

Pleasing Impact Experience

Through extensive modal analysis, PING researchers isolated undesirable frequencies within the clubhead and precisely positioned a re-engineered cavity badge to damp their effect to ensure a pleasing feel and sound. The four-piece badge combines a thin 304 stainless steel cap with an injection-moulded thermoplastic that is secured to the cavity with high-strength adhesive. The activated elastomer supports the face and sits in a toaster-style pocket, which is concealed behind the multi-material badge, creating a clean and appealing cavity design.

“Feel is one of the most important attributes in a players iron,” said Solheim. “Golfers who rely on precise iron play require exceptional feel to control their ball flight. The i230 iron is engineered to provide consistent feel from every club in the set. The soft elastomer and the cavity badge work in concert to ensure they not only feel great, but they sound even better.”

Tour Proven

The long irons (3-5) are slightly more compact than the tour-proven i210, producing more consistent clubface delivery and accuracy, while the rest of the set is designed with similar blade lengths. The sole design is also similar, with a more rounded lead edge and ample bounce to promote smooth turf interaction for clean and solid strikes. The precision-milled MicroMax grooves deliver consistent launch and spin results for more accuracy in the long irons and greater control in the short irons and wedges, especially in wet or grassy conditions where the grooves and hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish help ensure lower launch angles with high spin rates.

“Meeting the needs of our tour pros, who have already won with it, is an important element of the i230 iron,” Solheim said. “Their validation of this design goes a long way in giving golfers the confidence that they can also benefit from its technology. The changes to the blade lengths and shaping are very subtle but are designed to improve the playability and the accuracy of the entire set, especially the long irons. They inspire a lot of confidence when you look at them in the address position.”

A Players Crossover

The iCrossover is engineered for high-swing-speed players looking for long-iron alternatives (2XR, 3XR, 4XR) that fit seamlessly into their set while delivering increased ball speeds for more distance with higher launch. The sources of the high ball speed are the thin, maraging steel face and lower CG position, which is closer to the impact location to produce more energy transfer. The face is robotically welded to the 17-4 stainless steel body with a lower-hinged bend point to provide higher launch for better stopping power. A smaller internal cavity with targeted EVA polymer on the back of the face ensures a pleasing feel and sound.

Tour-Inspired

With similar sole shaping, including the rounded lead edge and ample bounce, the iCrossover seamlessly fits into an i230 iron set in place of long irons. The blade lengths are slightly shorter with less offset than previous crossover generations, making it more compact while providing a tour-style appearance. The standard shaft length builds also are approximately one-quarter inch shorter than the previous models to transition into a set more easily, providing more control and tighter dispersion patterns with similar distance. The precision-milled MicroMax grooves and matte-black hydropearl 2.0 finish deliver consistent launch and spin results for more accuracy.

New Trajectory Tuning 2.0

A first in an iron-style design, the adjustable hosel provides eight settings for loft and lie to help dial in a golfer’s desired ball flight. The lightweight hosel is clearly marked to allow for quick and easy adjustments, with a range of ±1.5° loft and lie in various combinations. The standard setting is the stated loft of the club at 1.5° upright.

“We looked closely at our fitting and Arccos data and discovered the vast majority of our crossover users were better players who use one of our blade irons,” Solheim said. “So, we shifted our focus to engineering a crossover that better fit the needs of that type of player. The iCrossover performance results have been exceptional. Its shape looks great, the ball speeds are higher, and it sounds very powerful. The addition of the adjustable hosel is a huge benefit to help players at that level dial in their ball flight.”
