As a former playing and teaching pro as well as golf club manager, Ronnie Zimmermann will take over from Irene Oberländer, who has led the SPGA on an interim basis for the past 7 months. The Swiss PGA Board is pleased to welcome one of its members, Ronnie Zimmermann at the helm of the Association and is confident that his attitude, knowledge of advancing the sport and initiative will help Swiss PGA succeed in the years to come.

“We are delighted to have found Ronnie Zimmermann, a connoisseur of golf, as the new General Manager of the Swiss PGA. His experience and understanding of golf will support us in achieving our goals,” said Swiss PGA President Keith Marriott.

In 2002, Ronnie Zimmermann turned professional and played as a Playing Pro for several years. Afterwards, he completed the SPGA apprenticeship program and sports club manager education. Most recently, he successfully managed the Golfclub Gstaad-Saanenland.

“Thanks to my experience, I have a great interest in putting my knowledge at the service of the Swiss PGA, creating synergies and working together with all the players in Swiss golf.
